Loving Paws is a free roam, non-kennel doggie daycare and boarding business based in East Wenatchee, Washington. Founded on July 19, 2019 by Catherine Stockton, Loving Paws was created to offer something truly different for local pet owners. The goal was to provide an environment that feels like home, not a kennel.

After moving to the area in 2018, Catherine noticed that most dog care options were traditional kennels. Following an unscheduled trip that confirmed those environments were not the right fit for her own dog, she decided to build a cozy, loving, free-roam space where dogs could feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. That vision became Loving Paws.

What Sets Them Apart

What sets Loving Paws apart is its deeply personal approach to dog care. Dogs are never confined to kennels. Instead, they socialize, play, and rest freely while forming real friendships and bonds with other pups. Many clients have been with Loving Paws for years, and both dogs and their owners become part of an extended family.

Catherine is licensed and trained to care for dogs from birth through their senior years, including those with medical needs that require extra attention. This includes post-surgery recovery, cancer treatments, mobility challenges, and senior care. Pet parents do not just gain a daycare provider. They gain a trusted partner who understands their dog’s health, behavior, and emotional needs.

Loving Paws also offers emotional support for pet parents. Whether it is guidance during difficult vet visits, support through the loss of a beloved pet, or simply having an extra set of experienced eyes watching over their dog, clients know they are not navigating pet ownership alone.

Looking ahead, Loving Paws is continuing to grow with intention. Over the next six months to a year, Catherine is renovating the facility and expanding the team to create more daycare spots and offer additional care options, while maintaining the intimate, high-quality experience clients value.

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys crocheting and sewing, hobbies that the dogs enthusiastically help with. This is another small detail that reflects the home-like, joyful atmosphere at Loving Paws.
